- Born to a farming family, as one does, of some foreign descent (but she is born and raised Egyptian). The eldest daughter.

- Life is relatively uneventful, but marked by hardships.

- A bad drought goes through. Worried about her family, Seshen, now in her early teens, starts to look for opportunities to find some money (of course this is AE and it's more like things to trade but money is easier to say) to help support her family. It just so happens she's rather pretty and people are willing to trade some things in exchange for... certain services.

- This works pretty well for a long while! Her family prospers for a few years. But some people are suspicious, and Seshen can only manage to keep her methods quiet for so long. Long story short she leaves town and hitches a ride on a boat.

- Travels around the larger settlements in order to make a living the only way she knows how. Completely isolated from her family now. Begins to pick up a bit of pickpocketing...

- A while later, and suddenly she's not in Kansas anymore.
